Candice obtained her Licentiate in Acupuncture, and a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Traditional Acupuncture, from the College of Traditional Acupuncture, Warwick, in affiliation with Oxford Brookes University.
Her original background is as a nurse, having gained her State Registration in Nursing from University College Hospital, London. Post-qualification she undertook a certificate in cancer nursing at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London, and specialised in palliative care there on completion of the course. In her early twenties she became a night sister in Gloucester, during which time she gained experience in most areas of general nursing, leaving Gloucester to further her knowledge of critical care by undertaking a certificate in intensive care nursing in Brighton; a speciality she continued to work in until obtaining a post as a research nurse in Nottingham: leaving this job, and her nursing career, to focus on raising her two children.
Candice is a passionate believer in the positive benefits, on both physical and emotional levels, that may be obtained on receiving acupuncture treatment, and continues to pursue her belief in excellence of care for her patients in her role as an acupuncture practitioner.
As a member of the British Acupuncture Council, Candice abides by the Council's Code of Safe Practice and Code of Professional Conduct, and is covered by full Professional and Public/Products Liability insurance. She also continues to update her practice skills by attending courses, workshops and other programmes that offer continuing professional development.
